The Richmond, Pondicherry

Upon arriving, I found the rooms to be quite small for the price quoted and lacking windows, but the staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs – their biggest asset! The hotel is located in a lovely and quiet area of town, perfect for exploring, although the dining options were limited. Overall, it's a decent stay with some drawbacks and highlights.

I felt like the rooms were well provided and comfortable, even though mine was towards the back of the building which meant no outside view and no parking space. The location, however, was great with a lovely, quiet, clean area of town in walking distance to everywhere. The service was courteous and very helpful, especially with the restaurant offering to serve breakfast at 6 in the morning. The dining experience was just okay, with a little limited breakfast buffet. Overall, a decent stay with some ups and downs.

For the price of £20 a night in the White Town area, the hotel offers comfortable rooms for two adults. Although there is no outside view or parking space, it's a decent budget option.
